The 2013 Nissan Sentra will offer a larger interior while cutting down on curb weight.

More details have been released about the all-new 2013 Sentra, which is set to make its debut on Oct. 16th.

The new Nissan Sentra has downsized to a smaller displacement and less potent 1.8-liter unit generating 130HP and 128 lb-ft of torque.

According to Nissan, the new Sentra is five percent lighter than the outgoing model, even though it is slightly larger overall offering more interior room.

The smaller engine that's connected to a next generation Xtronic CVT along with the more aerodynamic and lighter body help the new Sentra deliver a 13 percent improvement in EPA combined fuel economy at 39mpg.

Besides the base Sentra S that comes with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox, all other grades are offered with a CVT.

Available comfort and driver-focused technology features for the 2013 model include heated leather-appointed seating surfaces, Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control, Bose Premium Audio System, RearView Monitor and NissanConnectSM with Navigation system.
